Background

Dr. Anne Riggs serves as Director of Nursing and brings more than 40 years of nursing experience across both healthcare practice and higher education. Throughout her career, she has held multiple leadership and administrative roles, including more than a decade as a School of Nursing Program Administrator, where she helped develop innovative educational pathways, led accreditation and program evaluation efforts, and advanced continuous quality improvement initiatives. Dr. Riggs holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Missouri.

Prior to joining 91Ö±²¥, Dr. Riggs served at Hannibal Regional Hospital, where she coordinated nursing onboarding and professional development to strengthen workforce readiness and support excellence in patient care. Known for building strong academic-practice partnerships and ensuring alignment with nursing standards, Dr. Riggs brings expertise in program assessment and data-driven decision-making to support high-quality nursing education.
