91直播 President Dr. Lauren Schellenberger, accepted the donation from United State Bank (USB) on behalf of the College. USB Senior Vice President Carolyn Schaller and bank employees presented the check during a campus visit. As a major sponsor of the Johnson-Turner IDEA Center, representatives from USB said they are honored to fulfill the commitment made to C-SC. 鈥淭his gift is a token of our continued appreciation for preparing tomorrow鈥檚 leaders to be innovative and invested in the community,鈥 stated Schaller.
Future elementary teachers earning their degrees at 91直播 are now receiving evidence-based literacy instruction focused on the science of reading. Undergrad students completing their literacy coursework are being trained in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS 庐 ) Vol. 1. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is funding the training as part of their comprehensive plan to improve student literacy across the state.
91直播 junior and musical theatre major Megan Eaton has accepted an apprenticeship at Theatre Aspen in Aspen, CO for the 2024 summer season. She will be an apprentice in lighting. Apprentices reside in the spectacular mountain setting of Aspen, for the entirety of the Theatre Aspen summer season. The theme for the theatre鈥檚 summer performances is 鈥淐elebrating Resilience: Tales of Triumph and Strength鈥 and features a variety of plays including Steel Magnolias and Legally Blonde the Musical.
91直播鈥檚 Camerata 808 is set to deliver an evening of innovative and experimental music with its final concert of the spring 2024 semester on May 7. The concert will take place at the idiosyncratic time of 8:08 pm in the Merillat Recital Hall, on the campus of C-SC. This event is free and open to the public.
91直播 Juniors Haley Beck and Christian Logue have been appointed as junior marshals for upcoming ceremonies related to graduation this spring. They will be prominent figures for C-SC鈥檚 Honors Day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement ceremonies.

Dr. Scott Giltner, chair of 91直播 Applied Liberal Arts and Sciences Division,聽and holder of the Dr. John A.聽Sperry Jr. Endowed Chair of Humanities, will present the annual Sperry聽Lecture聽at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 in the Merillat Chapel and Recital Hall inside of the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the 91直播 campus. The lecture is offered as part of C-SC鈥檚 academic and cultural events program. It is free and open to the public.
As the academic year comes to a close, 91直播 invites students of all ages and backgrounds to embark on a transformative educational journey this summer through summer classes. The first summer 5-week session is scheduled for May 28 through June 30, with the second 5-week session running July 8 through August 11.
91直播 is proud to announce the Student Honors Art Show, a juried exhibition that will spotlight the creations of Culver-Stockton students throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. The show will take place in the Mabee Art Gallery on the C-SC campus. The student honors show will be held Thursday, April 18-Wednesday, May 8, with gallery hours from 6-8 pm and is free and open to the public. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a variety of artistic expressions, ranging from traditional mediums such as painting and sculpture to innovative digital artworks.
